Strong in Talent, Rich in History
Texas Longhorns Soccer Club and AYSES Soccer Club Join Together

Richardson, Texas – A historic union today, as two North Texas soccer clubs, Texas Longhorns Soccer Club and AYSES Soccer Club announced their joining together as one club. This union will bring unprecedented opportunities for young soccer players throughout North Texas through soccer education, training, enjoyment of the sport and character building through life lessons. Texas Longhorns Soccer Club will remain as the club name and maintain both girls and boys club level teams. The AYSES name, which stands for Advanced Youth Soccer Educational System, will be used for the newly expanded academy program.

Also as part of the merger of the clubs, Sammy Olali, founder of the AYSES Soccer Club, will be the Director of Coaching for TLSC. Sammy brings extensive knowledge and vision of the development in the area of youth soccer. He has maintained his coaching staff over the past few years that represent teams competing in CCSAI Classic League Divisions I, II and III.
Texas Longhorns SC and Sammy Olali, along with the City of Fairview, are excited to announce the July 2009 opening of the Fairview Soccer Complex – Home of the Texas Longhorns Soccer Club. This complex will showcase six world-class soccer fields initially, with the expansion of ten additional fields over the next three years. The property containing over 75 acres, will have additional amenities to players, coaches and parents such as a clubhouse, scenic jogging trails, playground area, picnic area and live event venue. The first event to be held at the Fairview Soccer Complex will be the 5th Annual AYSES Texas Summer Classic, August 14-16. This tournament will include age groups U9 through U19 for both boys and girls.
TLSC wishes to welcome the AYSES players and families to the Longhorns family!!!!
Founded in 1968 in Dallas, Texas, the Texas Longhorns Soccer Club is the oldest select soccer club in Texas and the southwest. The club was established as a 501c.3, or non-profit, organization. TLSC was the first select soccer club in the area to successfully add girls’ teams to an established boys’ club organization. TLSC founded the Dallas Cup, Inc. in 1980, which has become one of the most prestigious international youth soccer tournaments in the United States. Today, TLSC is home to thousands of alumni who still call themselves Longhorns, but more importantly they have laid a solid foundation in the development of youth soccer in North Texas.
AYSES, Advanced Youth Soccer Educational System, was started by Sammy Olali in 1999. Fashioned after European soccer, Sammy and his coaching staff have tailored the program to meet the needs of American youth. The AYSES have always based their philosophy on the development predicated on playing possession soccer, which requires highly technical skills; An environment that is fun and encourages risk taking and creativity; and to recruit families that look at the big picture and will not leave the club as their kids improve.
